On 10 December 2013, the Business Call to Action (BCtA), in partnership with the Business Fights Poverty (BFP) and the Leadership Laboratories will host a public webinar exploring how innovators within large MNCs may promote pro-poor business models.

Inclusive business approaches that offer the potential for both commercial success and social benefit have been adopted by numerous companies in recent years. But relatively few of these ventures exist and have achieved the potential for scale. What many of these ventures do show is that behind the success stories there are often intrapreneurs -- individuals or teams who have won the buy-in of their companies and had the commercial acumen, drive and commitment to deliver on their inclusive business strategies.

In establishing an inclusive business initiative, these champions move the companies through a process from initial conception to start-up, ongoing management and scale-up, often encountering internal and external barriers.

Drawing on experiences shared at the first Intrapreneur Lab -- a programme for high-performers from large companies to develop business ideas that address a social issue profitably -- the webinar will feature personal accounts of individuals from multi-nationals who have successfully integrated inclusive business initiatives into core business functions and have been instrumental in enabling other intrapreneurs do the same.

The webinar will feature an interactive Q&A session with the audience, who will have an opportunity to participate and interact with the speakers.
