Great New Resource for Inclusive Business Practitioners

NEW DATABASE OF ORGANISATIONS THAT SUPPORT INCLUSIVE BUSINESS

Many inclusive business projects need support– both financial and technical - to help them '‘get off the ground' and grow. However, busy entrepreneurs can find the search for this information - and then understanding exactly what is on offer - a time-consuming and complicated task.

In response to this challenge, the Business Innovation Facility (BIF) and Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) have developed a new Database of Financial and Technical Support for Inclusive Business. This is a '‘one-stop shop'’ for information about organisations that offer financial and/or technical support in developing countries. It is intended to help companies and entrepreneurs that are developing inclusive business models to quickly and easily find initiatives that could provide the support they need.

The database provides a list of over 200 organisations that offer financial and/or technical support to inclusive businesses in developing countries. It provides categorisation of what they offer to business, the geographies and sectors they cover and their contact details. Better still, it can be easily searched and filtered by the user.

This is the first version of this new tool and feedback is encouraged. Additional suggestions and amendments are welcome. Dissemination is also encouraged as it is hoped that this resource helps as many inclusive business organisations and initiatives as possible.
