SEED is holding the SEED Africa Symposium in Nairobi on September 9-10. The SEED Africa Symposium is one of the largest gathering on social and eco entrepreneurship in Africa, and is supported by a variety of partners including GIZ, UK DFID, WB, CICK, ILO, UN Women, VC4A and IBA. The Symposium takes a unique approach that emphasizes cross-sector collaboration and peer-learning. It brings together entrepreneurs, business leaders, policy makers, the community of finance and practitioners to co-create, and build together an effective ecosystem for social and eco-enterprises.

Building Bridges for Impact is the goal for this year's Symposium. Around 500 delegates from Africa and beyond will examine emerging trends in the green and entrepreneurship space and look into ways of constructing new bridges to amplify the impact of social and eco-enterprises. Special attention will also be given to the role of eco-entrepreneurship in the Post-2015 agenda.

SEED has prepared a rich agenda that promises to stimulate debate to foster the spread of green and inclusive business and provide attendees with the opportunity for peer-to-peer learning and networking. The South-South Exhibition will also showcase more than 50 innovators of the Green Economy. Additionally, during the Symposium SEED will be celebrating the winners of the 2015 SEED Awards innovative start-up enterprises which are addressing global sustainable development challenges.

In the context of the Symposium, GIZ and the Inclusive Business Action Network will organise a closed-door inclusive business workshop focusing on Developing Inclusive Value Chains: learning from best-practises and exploring opportunities. Based on four proven case studies of inclusive businesses from the agriculture, energy, health and consumer goods sectors, participants will have the opportunity to explore success factors and enablers for developing and replicating inclusive value chains.
