BSR, a global nonprofit organization that works with its network of more than 250 member companies and other partners to build a just and sustainable world, is hosting an event examining the role that Artificial intelligence will play in our future. (AI) is going to fundamentally change the way we work and live as algorithms begin to make more important decisions for us.

This event, sponsored by Sony Corporation, will summarize the main stakeholders, organizations, and initiatives working on issues of ethics, human rights, and AI. It will also answer the following questions:

  • How do we build ethical, moral, and human values into the future of AI?

  • What governance mechanisms must be in place to minimize AI’s potential harm and maximize its benefits?

  • What are the main principles, tools, and guidelines under development to help companies navigate these issues?

Join BSR to learn more about these issues and the main approaches that stakeholders increasingly expect companies to take. Translations will be provided in Japanese and English.

Speakers

  • Hiroshi Nakagawa, Team Leader, Privacy and Social System Team, Riken

  • Dunstan Allison-Hope, Managing Director, BSR

  • Asako Nagai, Director, BSR
