BASE II Forum for the Development of the Base of the Pyramid in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Business Call to Action is excited to support the II BASE International Forum for the Development of the Markets at the Base of the Pyramid to be held by the Inter-American Development Bank on June 6 and 7 in Medellín, Colombia.

The II BASE Forum will bring together over 800 leading experts: business executives, development professionals, entrepreneurs, government officials, impact investors and others who are involved in the exciting work of creating innovative business models by connecting private sector resources and ingenuity with the untapped potential at the base of the socioeconomic pyramid.

Besides the plenaries and keynote presentations, the Forum will include six concurrent sessions each day that will deepen the discussion about the challenges and opportunities at the base of the pyramid in sectors such as education, housing, health care and connectivity. Other topics will include the importance of private platforms of distribution as channels to access the base of the pyramid; integration of the base of the pyramid into value chains; and credit risk methodologies for financial inclusion.
