Juhudi Kilimo is a for-profit social enterprise that serves Kenya's rural smallholder farmers by providing them with loans and training. The company was founded in 2009 as a follow-up to an agribusiness initiative of K-Rep Development Agency.

Unlike traditional micro-finance institutions which primarily provide loans for working capital, Juhudi finances specific agricultural assets that offer immediate and sustainable income for farmers. Our loans are used to procure dairy cows, poultry, irrigation equipment and other income-generating assets. Since 2009, Juhuhi has supported more than 40,000 rural smallholder farmers in Kenya and contributed to the well-being of their families.

In recognition of our efforts, we received the Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the World Economic Forum in 2011 and were acknowledged in CIO Magazine's Top 100 list of technology innovations in 2013. We also became the first African B Corporation in 2013.
